Digital Vikingz / Team

The Digital Vikingz team

Two people own the two decisions that matter on every engagement: the strategy, and what gets published. The founder decides the central entity, the topical map and the page decisions. The content lead decides if a page matches its brief and the site's vocabulary before it ships. Writers, analysts and developers work from the map those two produce, under written standards, so the quality does not depend on who is assigned.

Who decides what on your engagement?

Usman Ishaq, founder and CEO of Digital Vikingz

Usman Ishaq

Founder

Usman Ishaq founded Digital Vikingz and architects every engagement, which means he builds or reviews each topical map, central entity definition and audit before it reaches a client. He trained as a mechanical engineer, which is why a site is treated as a system with inputs, constraints and measurable outputs rather than a collection of pages. He completed the Semantic SEO Fundamentals program taught by Koray Tugberk Gubur and has applied the method across forty industries since 2019.

What Usman decides
  • The central entity and the source term vector for every client
  • The topical map, which queries earn a page, and the layout of each page
  • The strategic direction of the engagement and every strategy call
Abad Aslam, content marketing lead at Digital Vikingz

Abad Aslam

Content Marketing

Abad Aslam heads content production, which means every page is written to its brief and checked against the site's vocabulary before it is published, and he owns that check. He runs the brief format, the editorial standards, the vocabulary and banned-phrase registry, and the publishing sequence.

What Abad decides
  • If a brief carries everything the writer needs, from entity and predicate to the required links
  • If a finished page matches its brief, sentence by sentence
  • The order and rhythm in which pages go live

How does one page move from the map to the live site?

A page passes through five hand-offs, each with a named owner, so you always know who decided what.

1The map names the pageUsman decides the query deserves a page, the entity it serves and the links it must carry.
2The brief is writtenAbad turns the map row into a brief: the questions in order, the heading levels, the required entities and values, the anchors.
3The page is writtenA writer works to the brief and to the written sentence rules. Nothing in the brief is changed by the writer.
4The page is checkedAbad reads the page against the brief and the vocabulary. A page that fails goes back with the lines marked.
5The page goes live and is measuredAbad schedules it in the publishing sequence. Usman reads Search Console per template after the next core update and decides what to configure.

What rules does every engagement run on?

Four standing rules hold on every engagement, and a client can hold us to each one.

One owner per layer

Strategy and content each have a named owner. You always know who decides what.

Strategy stays in-house

Topical maps, entity definitions and audits are never subcontracted. Writers and developers work from the map, not around it.

Written standards

Vocabulary, sentence rules and quality gates are documented, so a new team member works from the same standard as the founder.

Evidence with every milestone

Each milestone ships with its evidence package: what changed, where, and what Search Console shows.

Where does the work get done?

The maps, briefs and pages are built in one office by a team that sits together, which is why a question about a page gets answered the same day.

Questions about working with the team

Who is my point of contact?
Usman Ishaq leads every strategy call and every page decision, and Abad Aslam runs the briefs and the publishing workflow. You have both, and both read the same roadmap.
Do you outsource writing or development?
Strategy, maps, entity definitions and audits are never outsourced. Writers and developers on the team work from the map under the written standards, and every page passes the content lead's check before it ships.
What hours does the team work?
Strategy calls are scheduled in the client's time zone, and written replies arrive within one working day. Production runs on the publishing sequence, not on your office hours, so pages go live on schedule whichever time zone you are in.
Can I see the team's work before hiring?
Yes. The results page shows Search Console panels from client properties, and on the strategy call we open a live property in a vertical next to yours. After the call we can introduce you to a past client who has agreed to speak with prospective clients.
How many people will work on my site?
Two named owners decide everything, and the production team behind them is sized to the publishing sequence your map needs. You are told who is writing, who is checking and who is building before the first page is produced.
